Can you eat fast food and still lose weight?

Yes of course you can!


Its is absolutely okay to eat out occasionally from a fast food restaurant and still lose weight. When it comes down to weight loss all that is required is that you be in a calorie deficit. Meaning as long as you are eating less than your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) it is definitely okay!


What I like to do to stay on track If I know I am going to be running around all day with my daughter.


Just for example the other day me and my daughter Kylie were out all day looking for school clothes. And to make sure I stay on track while I'm out, I pick a place she enjoys ahead of time and I'll glance at the menu and find what I like, pre track my meal in my app tracker and move on with my day. I do this so I know what exact macros I will be hitting while I'm out and already know exactly how much I have left over for the rest of the day. Takes 5 minutes. I can simply stick to what I logged, enjoy it and focus on making memories instead worrying about what I'm going to eat while out. This is why I love tracking macros, it's a very flexible way of living. You can still enjoy the foods you love with your friends and family and stay on track while seeing results.


Tips and Tricks for finding macro friendly items on the menu.

  • look for grilled options vs. fried

  • choosing mustard and ketchup instead of mayo, or getting condiments on the side so you can determine how much you put on

  • choosing the smaller meal option than the large option

  • if ordering fries split it with another person, that way you can still enjoy them without going overboard

  • order and unsweet tea instead of sweet tea

  • grab a diet coke instead of regular (never want to drink your calories)
